Requirements for 3D Modeling in Autodesk Inventor
IndiaCADworks (ICW) team of talented mechanical drawing and 3D modeling experts were tasked with the converting existing model drawings to detailed 3D models in Autodesk Inventor. The model in question was for a mechanical, structural job - a steel stairway for a school. Our team received PDF images or scanned copies of the client’s drawings. To complete the project to the client’s satisfaction, we needed to convert 148 files within ten days.
Challenges Faced By Our Team
Recreating a model using scanned copies of the client’s drawings proved to be somewhat of a challenge, as we were not furnished with all the details required for 100% accuracy. Our team took the time to carefully discuss these drawings with the client to gain the insight our team required to proceed with the task.
Additionally, our team was tasked with the conversion of 5-6 files per day for ten days. Converting 148 files flawlessly within ten days was a big ask for virtually any team. However, we took steps to increase our team to 6 members, which helped us to complete the project in record time. A senior quality check person assisted the team in facilitating a smooth delivery process.

- We reviewed the drawings and set up an initial meeting to fully understand the scope of the project.
